Stitz 2 Stools

Sit-Stand Stools

Stitz 2 Stools is stand up seating - something of a paradoxopening up a new dimension of mobility. Stitz involves neither sitting nor standing, but a position in between. Stitz Stool stands for an ingenious idea of relieving physical strain while allowing movement. That is why the user does not sit on a Stitz in the conventional vertical position but simply rests on its seat at an incline with their feet firmly on the ground.

Stitz 2 Stool can be used in an office as well as in a studio, a professional practice or at a presentation close to a lectern - this leaning aid is a sensible means of support for all those who do not necessarily want to sit while on the job, but do not want to be left standing either.

Architect Toyo Ito used Stitz Sit-Stand Stools by Wilkhahn in the Tama Art University interior and received a Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2013.

Stitz 2 Stool Awards: iF Product Design Award 1993, Red Dot Award.
