Akari 14A floor standing lamp by Isamu Noguchi is a elegant light sculpture. Handmade from shoji paper and bamboo ribbing, supported by a metal frame.
Akari light sculptures are considered to be icons of modern design in the 1950s. Designed in 1951, American/Japanese artist and designer Isamu Noguchi started a total of over a 100 hand-made Shoji-paper models of table lamps, standard lamps and ceiling lights.
