Nigel Coates Designer Dining Chairs

Feral Chair is part of the wider Feral range family from British designer and architect Nigel Coates.

A solid wooden dining chair, Feral Chair is handmade by craftsman in Tuscany, combining a zoomorphic silhouette with a simplistic rectilinear language.

In an interview with Après Furniture, Nigel Coates said the Feral Chair is "cubist in spirit. The back leg was the challenge. As much as we tried to explain to the artisans how to make it, they didn’t understand the junction properly from our drawings. You can’t just provide a 3D model because most of the people who make these pieces for us don’t know how to read a 3D model – it has to be converted into a 2D drawing before they can actually start making."

Available in a combination of walnut, cherry and ash wood. The Feral Side Table and shelving is also available to complement Feral chair.
