Danny Venlet was born in Victoria, Australia, from Dutch parentage and studied Interior Design at the Sint-Lucas Institute for Architecture and Visual Arts in Brussels. Although he is considered to be a Belgian... Read more designer, Venlet believes his work is actually infused with the typical Australian laidback spirit – open, direct, freewheeling and relaxed.
Back in Australia, working as an independent designer and interior architect, Venlet went on to add a series of high-profile projects to his name, with which he managed to draw considerable international attention before going into partnership with international designers.
Following his cooperation with Neil Burley in 1988 and Marc Newson from 1998 to 1990, he opened up his own studio in Brussels, where he currently works on projects from across the globe.
His work is wide ranging: from mobile office chairs, ice coolers and showers, to interiors for private mansions, bars and showrooms as well as exhibition design.Read more
