BeTween Sit-Stand

PROOFF #010 BeTween Sit-Stand is a modular agile working furniture solution for open plan office environments. Ideal for the office or public spaces it fits comfortably in most environments. BeTween Sit-Stand is a tree-like shape which incites the imagination of its users, it attracts people to open spaces, like birds on a branch.

BeTween Sit-Stand trunk can be used either as a seat with a branch to lean against or resting place for your laptop to carry out some work. The tree like seat helps transform an area into a public landscape, inviting users away from the mundane confines of their office desk.

BeTween Sit-Stand is a modular unit comprising of 3 elements, each of which can be upholstered in a different fabric and colour. Upright, the waiting bench mimics a tree, but when pulled down, it becomes playful room divider, desk or bench. Individually the elements become a desk, chair, side table or pouf.

The conceptualisation of the #010 BeTween Sit-Stand started when the designers Makkink & Bey, carried out a study on the changing office landscape and the movement of people. It is an invaluable asset in office workplace and public area like hotel lobbies, transition areas, brainstorm rooms, health care centres, universities and libraries.
